All homes in Cardiff, the capital of Wales, could be heated geothermally using groundwater, new research says. BBC News has a really nice article about the idea, which explains that the roughly 12C water could supply ground source heat pumps.
A major, 35 megawatt, river heat pump system is under construction in the US state of Massachusetts.
