Heating and cooling

Analysis from Germany suggests that heating costs in the country are set to rise overall this year due to cold weather early in the year and high energy costs. But those who use gas heating systems will be hit hardest, according to co2online, a decarbonisation non-profit.

How much does being able to vary the volume of refrigerant flowing through a heating, ventilation and cooling (Hvac) system matter, in terms of reducing costs? A new paper in the journal Energy and Buildings uses modelling to try and answer that question.
