Five US states in the New England region have unveiled nearly half a billion dollars of funding intended to accelerate the rollout of heat pumps there.

Researchers in Poland have found that dense vegetation in green facades on buildings can cut the summer surface temperatures of those buildings by up to 13.7C. These facades also reduce people’s exposure to particulate matter in the summer.
