The heat pump rollout in the UK is gathering pace but is still well below the government target of 600,000 installs per year by 2028. Regulatory Assistance Project, an energy-focused non-profit has published a new report that argues the cost of electricity used for heating should be “no more than 2.5 times higher than that of fossil fuels used for heating by 2030, ideally sooner”.
